Privacy notice
Anila’s Bespoke Cakes is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We use it only where it is needed to respond to enquiries, provide quotations, fulfil agreed cake orders and meet our legal obligations.
Contact: anilascakes@gmail.com, 07379 346586, Easton, Norwich, Norfolk, NR9. Our complete trader identity and correspondence address are supplied with a quotation before any order is accepted.
Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or place an order, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred date, guest numbers, budget, cake specifications, correspondence, payment records and collection or delivery details. If you choose to provide allergy or dietary information, this may include health information requiring additional protection.
How we use it
- To take steps at your request before entering a contract, such as checking availability and preparing a quotation.
- To perform an agreed contract by making and supplying your cake.
- To comply with legal obligations, including food-safety, tax and accounting requirements.
- For our legitimate interests in keeping appropriate business records, responding to complaints and protecting the website from spam or misuse.
- With your explicit consent, to use allergy or health information solely to assess and fulfil your enquiry or order. You may withdraw that consent, although we may then be unable to safely fulfil the order.
Marketing
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We will not send electronic marketing without an appropriate legal basis and you may opt out of marketing at any time.
Services used by this website
Enquiries are processed using Netlify Forms and delivered through our email services. These providers process information on our behalf. The homepage may display public ratings and reviews supplied by Google Maps Platform. Pages also request fonts from Google. Your device may therefore send technical information, such as its IP address, to these providers. Use of Google features is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your information. It may be shared with website, email, professional or delivery service providers only where necessary. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where required, we rely on recognised safeguards for those transfers.
Unsuccessful or abandoned enquiry records are normally deleted within 12 months. Records relating to completed orders and payments may be retained for up to six years after the relevant accounting period or for longer where law, a dispute or food-safety concern requires it. Allergy information is not retained longer than necessary for the order and any related safety or legal record.
Security and automated decisions
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information. Enquiries may be automatically screened for spam, but we do not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your information, object to or restrict its use, request portability, or withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute where information must be retained by law. Contact anilascakes@gmail.com to make a request.
If you are dissatisfied, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
